  • Words, words, words...

Today marks the completion of 3 days, 9 total hours of comprehensives and concept-crunching. Woot.

In other news, I stared at my last name for awhile, and my dad is right...I could be mistaken for a terrorist...maybe that's why I don't have a job yet. Or because I haven't graduated. But it's probably the terrorist reason. More logical.

And I know logic. I am a philosophy major.

  • 7,646.

Today, in addition to calling middle-aged actresses to see if they had a newer headshot than the one from '96, I calculated how many days I've been alive. It came to exactly [yup, you title-readers catch on quick!] 7,646 days. Including today. Gotta admit, though, I keep thinking..."surely it's more than that?" But it's not. But it will be! Gee, I wonder how old I'll be when I've hit 15,000. That'll really be saying something. I'll probably need to head in for an oil change.

  • Updates galore! Sarcasm tantamount!

Things I think are interesting/neat/new that most no one else will:

    - I vacuummed my room this weekend.

-Leahy had two newer, huger printers.

-Tallulah (my aunt and uncle's dog) not only barks at me when I come home and refuses to stop until I rub her belly, but has decided that she will bark at me when I stop rubbing her belly. She's catching on as to how to manipulate love out of me, and it's no good. Sneaky.

-I lost my gloves recently. I am not buying replacements because I'm trying this thing called "Suck It Up."

-I tried a new shampoo this morning that made my head feel like it was dripping in ice. It seems I envisioned something quite different when I read "Leaves Your Scalp Feeling Refreshed!" Like...refreshed in some kind of positive way. Not ice cold.

That is all the news I have for you guys. Um...I'm sorry?

  • "The turn in the weather will keep us together...

...so I can honestly say that as long as I'm with you, it's a lovely day. And everything's okay."

From the song "Isn't It a Lovely Day To Be Caught In the Rain?" sung by the legendary Fred Astaire in one of his many film-pairings with Ginger Rogers, Top Hat.

Unlike their lovely dance duet in a gazebo in Central Park, my nasty weather experience was entirely void of tap dancing and romance. Just sopping wet feet. And many undiplomatic sentiments since the Embassies do NOT shovel their driveways or sidewalks. Even though it is required by law. See if I ever visit YOU, Venezula. [or bother to spell your country correctly. that's right, I went there.]

Upon discovering that my late-night Intro to Computers class was cancelled due to the snow, I was giddy at the thought of being able to skive off much earlier than anticipated. And then I remembered I had to get my yearbook picture taken and I had a Renew Leaders meeting. But in the end, I still got home an hour earlier than I would have, so yay for snow.

And I have unintentionally amused strangers today with my hiccups. Thrice.
